参见 solid(形容词)。
作为英国价格中分离先令和便士的斜线或短划线的名称(有时称为 shilling mark,据说是修改后的长 -S-,表示“先令”),至1891年。它也被称为 virgule,通常用作分数中的水平线或除号的替代符号。

The first known use of solidus was in the 14th century

2 Justinian ordered that when gifts exceeded five hundred solidi, a formal act stating the particulars of the donation should be inscribed in a public register.
3 Let the messenger have a bath; give him food and wine, a gold solidus, and this letter.
4 Slant ( slash ): The oblique line used to separate one element from another . Also called Solidus.

6 LXXI If the second toe from the foot he severs, he pays solidi six.
7 The green line is called the solidus, the melting point temperature of the rock at that pressure.
8 It is reckoned correctly: fifty solidi principal, and at thirty per cent, interest, fifteen solidi more.
9 Glauke, the daughter of an Athenian sculptor, had studied the folds of the chlamys for years, and for this reason had been bought by the Empress at a cost of many thousand solidi.

14 B, C, and D all show different ways the Earth produces intersections of the geothermal gradient and the solidus, which results in melting each time.
15 The rock surrounding the plume is exposed to higher temperatures, the geothermal gradient crosses to the right of the green solidus line, and the rock begins to melt.
16 Reduced pressure shifts the geotherm to the right of the solidus, causing decompression melting.
17 The new coin, the solidus, was to be the standard international currency of the western world for 800 years.
18 Graph D and label Z show a subduction zone, where an addition of volatiles lowers the melting point, shifting the solidus to the left of the geothermal gradient.
19 The red line is the geothermal gradient and the green solidus line represents at temperature and pressure regime at which melting begins.
20 Here is a little graphical palate cleanser: we visualized the life cycle of the parasite Schistocephalus solidus, which requires ingestion by a copepod, a fish and a bird—in that order—to survive and reproduce.
