The first known use of sahib was in 1673
When her grandmother learned of Ashima’s pregnancy, she was particularly thrilled at the prospect of naming the family’s first sahib.
“I want Father and Mother jan. I want Sasa. I want to play with Rahim Khan sahib in the garden. I want to live in our house again.”
'It is most urgent, sahib,' he said.
“事情非常紧急,大人,”他说。
It is most urgent, sahib, "he said."
“事情非常紧急,大人,”他说。
A sahib has got to act like a sahib; he has got to appear resolute, to know his own mind and do definite things.
“Don’t make this even more difficult than it already is, Agha sahib,” Ali said.
A sahib has got to act like a sahib;

“Yes. Will you take us to the bus station, Agha sahib?”
He said, “Oh yes, there have been many sahibs in my time,” and he named several; “and then long ago there was a ‘Baghé Khooah’ sahib, I wonder where he is now?”
But the other sahib must come down and deliver himself into their hands.”
“Yes, Agha sahib,” the younger of the guards replied.
With the presence of a sahib in the lifeboat their fears, if not entirely banished, were cloaked by the sense of discipline.
"Take them off, sahib," replied the father: "they are much money, and a present from my heart to you."
I dream that Rahin Khan sahib will be well.
我梦到拉辛汗老爷身体好起来了。
The man, seeing that a sahib was in the boat but not recognizing who he was, gave the word to the lascars manning the falls, and the boat was lowered rapidly and evenly.
In the HUM interview, Bushra said: "Every moment of Khan sahib's life is now dedicated to God, the Prophet and the love for Baba Farid".
Then, still out of sight, came a voice on the stairway: "Salaam, sahib, will sahib come see dance and see wedding?"
“Agha sahib was like my second father... God give him peace.”
She could not tell me, sahib, but I can tell you.
The transition was smooth, direct, complete: the sahib had had opportunity to shoot; he had not done so; what did the sahib wish to do now—to squat longer or to go on?
